Right Where We Began

Circle
We were two different entities,

with our two different worlds.

Too indulged in claiming our own home base,

The other’s seemed somewhat blurred.

You were this pool of love and warmth,

While I was busy in protecting my shield plunge.

You were waiting to embrace me in your arms,

Dipping my cold body in hot chocolate bath,

While I was too cautious of each step I took,

Protecting myself from every possible loophole.

But, then things started to change,

for better or worse, who knows.

For I was now this little fluffy kitten,

Demanding and devouring the warm hugs.

And as for you,

You were the exhausted mother of this difficult child,

Who knew nothing but extremity.

You gave me your everything,

While my hungry soul wasn’t yet filled.

It was great, trust me,

It was the start of our something,

For the person, I had been,

Wanted to be content and well-pleased.

Only then might have I,

Done things to calm your howls,

Only then might have I,

Let you rest your tumult soul.

But, things did take a different road,

Because right where the circle begins,

Is where the circle ends too.

Look, where we are now, yet again,

Right, where we started this vicious game.

You were this pool of love and warmth,

While I was busy in protecting my shield plunge, again.
